OSA Travel Fastpitch Softball

2023 OSA Travel Fastpitch Softball

Orono Softball Association strives to provide opportunities for personal growth and development of youth athletes while also reinforcing self-confidence, self-esteem and the ability to excel on and off the field. Through participation, Orono Softball Association is dedicated to educating and motivating each player while encouraging teamwork, community involvement, sportsmanship and fun through the spirit of fastpitch softball.

Spring/Summer Travel teams play double headers during the week against other west Metro teams. The 8U Travel teams will participate in up to 2-3 weekend tournaments (2 tournaments and 1 state tournament). The 10U Travel teams will participate in up to 3-5 weekend tournaments (2 tournaments, 1 state qualifier, 1 state tournament and the national tournament if they qualify). The 12U Travel teams will participate in up to 4-5 weekend tournaments (3 tournaments, 1 state qualifier, 1 state tournament and the national tournament if they qualify).

Fall Ball Travel (8U, 10U & 12U) is a great opportunity for the girls to practice the new rules as they move up to the next level of softball. Practices are during the week with double-headers on the weekends and concludes with a state tournament. The season runs from mid-August to the end of September.

The teams play in the Big West League. You can find information about this League on Minnesota Softball's website.
