Orono Softball is a parent led association that coordinates softball for girls PreK - High School. Our association Board is made up of parents who volunteer their time to make sure the program remains strong and the girls have all the necessary tools to make their development and growth possible in this sport.
As with any board connected to children, as our children get older, our board must change over. We are in need of 4-5 new board members who have younger children in the program to step in and volunteer. It is a rewarding experience and a great way to help in ways other than coaching. Our board is comprised of 8 - 12 positions and we are currently looking for dedicated individuals able to help in the following roles: Secretary, Treasurer, PreK-3 Program Director, and Equipment Coordinator. We usually meet monthly for 2 hours on the 2nd Tuesday of the month to plan and coordinate the season. A typical term lasts 2 years.
If you are interested in becoming a future board member, please fill out the application link below prior to August 1, 2019. The Board will respond to your application prior to August 31, 2019 with the new term starting October 1, 2019.
