D1 and D2 Travel-Lite Program
D1 (T-ball/Coach Pitch) –  Current PreK-1st graders (must be age 5 by 9-1-2019) - MON/WED practices/home games at Rainbow Field in Maple Plain

D2 (Machine Pitch) – Current 2nd/3rd graders - MON/WED practices/home games at Discovery Center in Maple Plain

This program is similar to a Recreational League, except the teams do play some games at nearby schools. Travel-Lite players do not have to tryout and we welcome all girls interested in playing! This is a fun environment that is perfect for learning the fundamentals of softball! A team shirt and visor/hat are included in the registration fee.

The girls practice two evenings/week (including games) and are typically coached by parent volunteers. The season begins in April and runs through the end of June. In addition, the D2 will have an End-of-Season Tournament held in Wayzata in early to mid-July.

D1 and D2 players may submit one friend request, and we will try to accommodate.  If you have a friend request, please insert the friend's name in the comments/requests section at the bottom of the Registration Options page.

Congratulations to 10U Player Maggie Ferril!

Maggie Ferril, a 4th grader at Orono Intermediate School, placed 2nd in the 2018 Minnesota Twins Baseball Skills competition!

Nearly 1,000 boys and girls ages six to fourteen participated in the competition consisting of batting, fielding, throwing and running skills.  At the conclusion of the summer, the top ten finishers in each age category were invited to compete in the Champions Day finals.

This year Champions Day was held at Target Field on Saturday, September 22.  Ferril qualified for the finals when she attended the Twins Camp in Delano last August, impressing coaches with her skill level in all four categories.  Ferril competed in the 4th grade bracket and finished strong, taking 2nd place overall in the competition.
